SWAPAHOLICS

Swishing and Clothes Swap Events

Credit crunching at your heels or have you re-evaluated your shopping habits and decided to change your ways.  Apparently British women have an average of 14 items of clothing in their wardrobe that they have not worn for the past year. (only 14, I hear you cry!). We waste a shocking £7 billion a year on clothes that we never wear.

Our style and shape evolves regularly, letting go of stuff is the best way to keep organised and look great.   Truthfully, the stress of digging through a cramped wardrobe looking for the 20% of items that you do wear is just not worth it.   I have always shared my wardrobe with my girlfriends, it is a great way of saving money and extending the wear of our clothes.   It is time to stop holding clothes hostage and let them enjoy being worn by someone who appreciates them.

With so much damage to the environment, it is important we try and do our bit to reduce waste.   900,000 tonnes of textiles and shoes go to landfill every year.     Clothes swapping is a great way of reducing waste and its free!
Green fashion never felt so good.

HOW IT WORKS

Bring a minimum of five items to swap CLEAN new or gently worn clothes, shoes, accessories or anything another woman would love.

No undies!!! (apart from the ones you are wearing, of course)

Whilst I don't insist participants bring designer items, you should bring good quality items that another woman would appreciate.

This is not a chance to offload your knackered clothes, this is a opportunity to let go of those items that you've bought but have never worn (and are never going to wear), the outfit you are meant to be dieting for. Clothes you've loved and enjoyed and never had the occasion to wear again. Those shoes that are 'to die for' but murder; your tootsies.  The sold out 'it' dress that languishes in your wardrobe because it doesn't suit you .

If everyone makes a pledge to bring these items, we are guaranteed to have a great time and go home happy bunnies

When you arrive we take your items and sort them into categories.  You go into the bar and have a few drinks and a natter with your friends until browsing time commences.

Browsing time allows everyone to see what is available, try items on and see if you LOVE them.   Then the swap rounds begin and you can take what you want for free.  If two or more swappers want the same item,  we hold a raffle and the winner is the lucky new owner.  I will be available to give style advice to anyone who needs it.

All items left at the end of the night will be donated to charity.
